Hello.

What is the advantage of running a multitask during a Site Analysis in Foreground Mode?

Thanks

Thanks for asking about that MaLizR.

Running an eValid Site Analysis in Full Browser mode is the most accurate type of mapping of a website because the pages being analyzed are actually downloaded and fully rendered by the eValid browser as it spiders through the site.

A constraint of analyzing a website in full browser mode, using the default mode settings, is that there should be no other task performed from within the host machine while the site analyzer is running.

This operating mode is chosen as the default because it yields the most accurate timing results.

In addition, it avoids site analysis problems by automatically closing any new windows that the website might try to open.

To perform other tasks in a machine that running an eValid Site Analysis -- assuming that you are willing to give up on the complete accuracy of the download timings -- you may make these simple changes to the current settings in the eValid preferences menu:

(1) Open the eValid Site Analysis Preferences menu by clicking "Settings > Site Analysis Preferences" or by pressing the shortcut key "Ctrl + F3"

(2) Select the "Mode and Cache Control Option" from the preferences menu.

(3) Uncheck the "Always Hold Focus" option.

(4) Uncheck the "Auto Close New Browser Windows" option.

(5) Save your current settings.

(6) Start the eValid Site Analysis run.

During the Site Analysis of the targeted website, you can now run other processes in the foreground because eValid focus is now shared with the entire desktop.
