We have support for Chrome and Firefox under development but there is not official release date for these versions. When released they will be "playback only" versions, using recordings made from the IE-based original eValid.

However, we are finding less and less need for non-IE-based versions of eValid in view of the power of the SetUserAgent command. With this command eValid can be made to report being ANY browser, so that the server returns HTML material to the eValid browser as if it was the designated browser type.

For functional testing, regression testing, monitoring, and server loading work, the main focus is on what the server produces relative to what the browser requests. Accordingly, with the SetUserAgent command you can effectively test servers' responses to non-IE browsers without having to have a special playback engine.

We have also found that the HTML delivered by most websites is close enough to the [de-facto] IE standard that the renderings are 99% identical in the eValid face as they would appear in non-IE-based browsers. This is not to say that confirming correct rendering is not sometimes an issue, but only to put that part of the QA of a web application in perspective.
