When To Use Which Special Recording Modes

We like eValid but we having trouble knowing when to use which special recording modes, like application mode or mouseover recording? Can you help out?

It's true, sometimes it can be daunting to know when to use which mode, because web pages are almost never built according to any standard.

One thing we've found, however, is that in any one application -- your application, whatever that one is -- the "style" tends to be nearly identical across all pages in that application. This means that once you have a recording mode for that application established you don't have to change things around.
