How long do you think it will take me to learn to do a very complex AJAX application, starting from scratch with eValid?

That is hard to say, not knowing anything about the AJAX application and not knowing anything about your experience with eValid.

So, if you have just newly installed eValid and are taking on testing of a complex AJAX application, we would estimate about 1/2 to 1-1/2 days to get a good, reliable test script. Of that time, most of it would be familiarizing yourself with eValid operation, which windows are what, and where things go and what results are generated and where.

The AJAX application itself is a more complex variable. Particularly when you say it is a "very" complex one. That makes it complicated to estimate.

Our experience includes some of the MOST complex AJAX applications that you can imagine -- typically applications from the financial community that involve many, many frames, and enormous amounts of JavaScript. In these cases creating a single script of several hundred commands that includes structural commands and multiple DOM-based synchronization commands may run to a day or more, based on our experience. But you should remember that such scripts often involve several hundred commands, take 5-15 minutes to play back, and cause 10-30 MBytes of download.

In any case, please don't be put off by these large numbers. eValid scripts at their most complex are comparatively simple relative to what's required in some competing, alternative non-browser based systems.
