How do you compare the work of making a recording and then scripting some structural testing passages into it, with the same effort by (for example) WebDriver or TruClient or WATIR?

We are biased, of course. But we think it is about 1% to 5% of the work to make an eValid recording "from life" and then script it (manually modify it) to meet some specific purpose.

Plus, with eValid you don't need programming skill -- just basic scripting skill and a base of knowledge about how web pages are put together.

It's not appropriate here to comment in detail about those products you mention, but the observation above is made with full knowledge of those technologies and their pros and cons.

The bottom line: very much easier.
