If you really are confused, you can use the Profiles to restore the default settings:

In general, here is the default value setting philosophy in eValid:
Numbers: 0 or 1 depending upon context
Strings: Blank or null or empty
Files: Where the eValid executable is when you installed it (this way eValid knows it has permissions).
SourceIndex: 0
elementValue: Blank or null or empty
