Hello.

How does a new user start an eValid Load Testing feature from scratch?

Also, please provide me any reference material you can.

Thanks

Great question, thanks for asking LLaird.

To produce an efficient loadtest scenario in eValid, we have outlined some easy steps in creating a loadtest.

(1) Identify the script file to be played back during the loadtest scenario or record a new script.

(2) Click the "File" option from the main eValid toolbar and select "New LoadTest".

(3) From the HTML page that is loaded, enter the location of where you want the loadtest script (evl) to be saved.

It is possible to include multiple scripts in one loadtest to add variety and depth to the loadtest scenario.

The predetermined location is the current working directory.

(4) Enter the name of the script file.

(5) Enter the number of repetitions for each instance of the loadtest.

(6) If there are variables to be substituted into the script file during the loadtest session, enter the values in the "Name/Value Pairs" field in the loadtest script form.

(7) Enter the delay multiplier for each browser session.

(8) Click on the "Create Script Line" button to generate a single line in the loadtest script.

The number of users is also determined by the hardware configuration of the machine which will be running the loadtest.

For more information on the hardware requirements and system settings for optimum performance, please visit:

Note: Each line in the loadtest represents a single user.

Additional parameters can be added in the "Delay Multiplier" field of the loadtest script form, each separated by a whitespace character to affect the playback of each instance of eValid.

A complete list of command line options can be found at:

We hope this gives you a better understanding of how an eValid Load Testing works.
