From a practical point of view you want to have scripts that play back in real time in 1-5 minutes.
It's common to see people create scripts that run 10-20 minutes, but it usually is better to split long scripts into smaller pieces.
The reason is, if the playback gets goofed up in any way, then you lose the whole thing, but with smaller scripts there is less chance of a failure and even when there is the consequence is smaller...
