Can eValid look at the DOM for Regression Testing

Postby LizlieK » Thu Aug 01, 2024 11:40 am

Hi.

Can eValid examine the contents of the DOM for regression testing?

Can you please provide me with reference material if possible.

Thanks

Thanks for asking about this, LizlieK.

Yes, you can do this if you are confident that he DOM element you base your regression on is known to be one that will NOT change except when you truly have "regressed."

In other words, very often the contes of the DOM changes often -- even between loads or re-loads of a page.

So, caution is advised.

Access to the current DOM is through the eValid PageMap: http://e-valid.com/Products/Documentati ... p.gui.html

Here is a page on how you use for additional reference: http://e-valid.com/Products/Documentati ... usage.html
