Let me fill you in a bit as to our interest in eValid.

Henrico County Public Schools uses Angel Learning Management Systems for
our online LMS. We have customized the application and therefore are
required to function test it when patches, updates, and versions change.
It is a very robust system, and the manual testing is time consuming and
tedious. We are looking for a method of automating as much of that
testing as possible.

Unfortunately, I already see one major issue with eValid. We are a 50-50
mixture of Mac OS X iBooks and Dell WinXP laptops in a one-to-one
initiative in which there are approximately 35,000 laptops issued to
every 6th thru 8th grader (iBooks), 9th thru 12th grader (Dells), every
teacher and administrator (Elem and Middle are Mac, High is Dell), and
classroom Macbook sets in the Elementary schools. As far as I can tell,
eValid only runs on a Windows platform, and I can tell you from
experience, the workings of the two platforms are very different within
Angel, so we need a solution that covers both platforms.

Do you have any plans to port this package to the Macintosh platform?

There is a planned extension to Firefox for playback only
and that would include Linux and MAX platforms.

However, the eValid automated browser already has the
capability to dynamically set the user agent string,
effectively telling the server to consider it Firefox,
or Opera or Netscape...or any browser.
