Is eValid able to record an image

How to apply eValid to functional testing of web applications.

Is eValid able to record an image

Hiya.

I need some help recording my script:

Can you validate an image while recording your script?

Are there any limitations on recording the image?

Please let me know.

Thanks

Great question, thanks for asking RAnthony.

Yes you can validate an image or screenshot with eValid.

However, this may have some pitfalls that lead to excessive "false negative" test results, the reason being that even a single pixel difference can signal a FAIL and a lot of pictures
(or screenshots) capture varying content.

Here is the manual page that describes the options:

http://e-valid.com/Products/Documentati ... creen.html

As a general rule, you probably should capture ONLY a part of an image that you expect to remain constant over time.

Makes sense, unless you want to spend a lot of time re-validating tests that fail for unimportant reasons.
