When I make a mistake in specifying a UAS, what browser does eValid emulate?
Thanks
Thanks for posting WalterW.
When the UAS is set to "AnyStringWorks" and that is NOT the UAS for an actual device, it is anyone's guess what the server thinks you are emulating.
How the server responds is up to the server.
A likely response is, if the server does not find "AnyStringWorks" in its list of alternatives for how it serves the URL, it will revert to a default. Some servers will use as the default the last-known (last specified) UAS for that IP address, but again, it depends on how th server is set up.
To see what happen you can launch eValid from the command line with with -AGENT "AnyStringWorks." They you can see what kind of response you get.
To find out more details navigate eValid to the
http://www.whatsmyuseragent.com" website and see what it reports.
