Question regarding eValid's emulation of a mobile device

Postby DanielB » Tue Dec 31, 2013 10:56 am

Hello everyone!

I have a question I hope someone can help me answer.

Is the internal timing data from eValid when it is
emulating a mobile device accurate?

Why and why not?

Thanks.

Hey DanielB. Happy New Year to you and everyone on the eValid forum.

Yes, it is.

Assuming, that is, that the computer CPU is fast enough
(as most of them are) so that its internal processing
and rendering time is a small fraction of the typically
much, much larrger time it takes to transmit the
data over the web.

The point is, that eValid measures time time it takes
the device-to-web connection to respond...

Yes, there is an assumption that there's essentially no
extra time involved in the rendering of what was transmitted.
In our experiments we have never found any contrdictions to
this assumption.

Bottom line, yes, the timings are accrate.
