Element Click Command

Postby swtesting » Mon Jun 09, 2008 10:34 am

I would like to know if the number 77056798 in this
ElementClick 0 207 65 272 "" "77056798 " "" NAV can be subsutited for?

In my script, the element click will be the same on each
playback, just the number order number will change.

Thanks.

If you check the definition of the ElementClick command, you'll
see that the 0 is the window, 207 is the element index,
65 272 are the pixel offsets in the element at which to
click, "" is the element id (blank, here), and "77056798"
is the visible text (what you see on the screen).

Next comes the frame path "" and then the OPTIONAL NAV
parameter.

You can indclude the NAV or exclude it, depending on whether
you want/expect eVaild to start a NAV synchronization sequence.

The "77056798" must be something on the screen, and you
could substitute $STRING for it if you wanted to...we don't
know what that string is for suure...but from your script
it appears to be some kind of order number, probably generated
by the website under test.

Hope this is helpful...
